Rosehips and Rhubarb is a blog about living and eating simply, beautifully and sustainably.
At Rosehips and Rhubarb you’ll find seasonal recipes, kitchen gardening tips and hints, articles about people and events, and book and restaurant reviews.
Kate is a passionate gardener, a kitchen experimenter, a history geek and a mother of four. She lives with her family in a 100-year old stone-fronted villa in Adelaide, South Australia.
Kate has a life-long addiction to growing food, whether a few herbs in a pot or a mini orchard of fruit trees. Her family tolerates her eccentricity and happily devours the (literal) fruits of her labour.
She loves weird heirloom vegetables and determined chooks that shimmy, commando-style, under the wire that is supposed to contain them. She loves gathering herbs at dusk and planning dessert around whichever fruit tree is producing.
Kate’s love of food and books led first to an honours degree in English and more recently to a Graduate Certificate in Food Writing from the University of Adelaide (2014).
